Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal
Arrival in Kathmandu 1334m, Himalaya Journey Treks & Expedition reprensatative will transfer to hotel, Mt.Kailash & Mansarovar tour briefing with officially arrangements. overnight at Kathmandu Hotel.
Day 02: kathmandu by flight Chengdu Lhasa
In the early morning transfer to airport and fly to Gonggar Airport, 100 km far away from Lhasa, Himalaya Journey Treks & Expedition reprensatative will transfer to Lhasa. After lunch, you have free to adapt yourself to the high attitude. (Lhasa is 3650m above the sea level ).
Day 03: Lhasa sightseeing tour
In the morning visit Potala, which was originally constructed in 637 by Songtsen Gampo, the first king of the united Tibet, and later expanded and served as the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas as well as the religious-political nexus of traditional Tibet. The crowds of pilgrims, innumerable magnicent murals, Buddhist statues, scriptures and rare treasuers altogether creat a dense religious and art atmosphere that impresses every visiter. In the afternoon visit Jokhang monastery, the center of the Tibetan Buddhism and the sacred land of Buddhist followers where innumerable pilgrims come for worship everyday. The temple, built in 647, is the earliest wood-and-masonry structure still existing in Tibet. Walk on the Barkhor street surrunding Jokhang, a big free market with its prolific stalls for selling local specialties.
Day04: Sightseeing around Lhasa
In the morning visit Drepung monastery the sacred land of Gelukpa sect., which was created in 1416 and the second, third and fourth Dalai Lama once resided in. In the afternoon visit Sera monastery, which was created in 1419 and has always been an important Buddhist seminary. As rose are planted everywhere in the monastery, it is also called the court of wild rose. Today still 200 lamas live in there.
Day 05: Lhasa Gyantse
Today is a full day picturesque drive crossing over a colorful Yamdrok Lake. Kambala Pass at 4,794 m and Karola Pass at 5,010m. overnight at Gyantse
Day 06:Gyantse Shigatse/Xigatse
After breakfast visit the Kumbum Stupa and Phalkor Monastery in Gyantse and then drive to Shigatse(3810 m), the second largest town in Tibet and the capital of Tsang, there visit Tashilunpo monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama built in 1447 and one of the six grand monasteries in Tibet.
Day 07: Shigatse-Latse
Today drive about 5 hours (160km) from Shigatse, youll spend most daytime on the bumpy roads.
Day 08: Latse Saga
A whole days driving, about 300km, to the army town of Saga (4600m). O/N in simple Guesthouse.
Day 09 : Saga Paryang
Today drive to Paryang, 4750m, about 260 km from Saga.
Day 10: Paryang to Holy Mansarovar lake
you can excursion around Holy Mansarovar lake.overnight at Mansarovar lake.
Day 11: Day free for rest, purification bath in the Holy Lake, etc. Overnight in camp.
Day 12: Drive up to Starting point of Kailash Parikarma. Start trek to Dira Puk (4909m.) 18 Kms. 6-7 hrs.Overnight at camp.
Day 13: continue Parikarma trek over Dolmala Pass (5650m.) to Zuthul Puk. 22 Kms. 7-8 hrs. overnight at camp.
Day 14: End Kailash Parikarma near Darchen (4700m) 14 kms. 3-4 hrs.overnight at camp.
Day 15: Drive from Darchen to Paryang (4540 m.) 277 Kms. 7-8 hrs. overnight at camp
Day 16: Drive from Paryang to Saga (4840m.) - 185 kms. 8 hrs. overnight at camp.
Day 17: Drive from Saga to Paigutso (4850m.) - 115 kms. 6-7 hrs. overnight at camp
Day 18: Drive from Paigutso to Nyalam ( 3800m.) - 221kms. 7-8 hrs. overnight at camp
Day 19: Drive from Nyalam to Kodari than drive back to Kathmandu. 165 kms. 7-8 hrs and in the evening farewell dinner in Nepalese Restaurant, overnight at kathmandu in Hotel .
Day 20: After breakfast, Relaxing/shopping with own activities ,Himalaya Journey Treks & Expedition’s representative will drop to Kathmandu international airport for onward destination.
